Forging ahead with Ambition! BatteroTech Seals Phase III Project

The signing ceremony of the BatteroTech Phase III project was convened in Jiashan at 5 p.m. on March 3^rd, 2023. The ceremony was gathered by the following key figures to witness this critical moment together: municipal-level leaders including Chen Wei, Secretary of the Jiaxing Municipal Committee, Ni Huping, Deputy Mayor of the Jiaxing Municipal Committee, and Shen Yuxiang, Secretary General of the Jiaxing Municipal Committee; Tsingshan leaders including Xiang Guangda, chairman of Tsingshan Industry, Wu Feng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Honor Dean of Rept Battero Research Institute, Hu Xiaodong, Chairman of Yongqing Technology, Jiang Sen, Yong Qing Technology CEO, and Zhang Wutang, BatteroTech Chairman; and four sets of major government leaders in the Jiashan County and representatives from related banks and the press.

Chen Wei, Secretary of the Jiaxing Municipal Committee delivered a speech: Jiaxing boasts an exclusive geographical edge with a profound history and rich culture, home to innovative manpower and limitless dynamism, momentum, business opportunities, and prospects. He hopes to witness the further endeavors of BatteroTech to build up its strength and quality development. Government departments will be active helpers in coordinating and resolving the difficulties and problems in the project implementation process and offering the most high-quality, efficient, and targeted services to ensure the project can start its construction, get finished, put into mass production, and deliver yields as early as possible.

As highlighted by Xiang Guangda, Chairman of Tsingshan Industry, “BatteroTech shall sustain its entrepreneurship and enterprising spirit, and respond to challenges as a corporation shouldering responsibility and devoting to society on a higher ground of thinking.”

Wu Feng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ni Huping, Deputy Mayor of the Jiaxing Municipal Committee, inaugurated the BatteroTech Research Institute at the signing ceremony. BatteroTech Research Institute will attract more than 1,000 scientific research manpower from all areas, contribute to R&D and verifications of power and energy storage product projects, and further consolidate the talent reserve and market competitiveness by developing key materials and core technologies. Dr Liu Yang, Vice Dean of BatteroTech Research Institute made detailed interpretations of new products including ET600 and ET1200.

In the concluding signing ceremony, Tan Mingbo, Party Secretary of the Jiashan Economic Development Zone and a cadre whose post is equivalent to the level of deputy county commissioner, and Zhang Wutang, BatteroTech Chairman signed the Phase III project on behalf of BatteroTech and Jiashan County. BatteroTech concluded the strategic cooperative agreement with the Jiashan Sub-Branch at the Bank of China and the Jiaxing Branch at China Construction Bank. BatteroTech also signed the strategic cooperative agreement on jointly building the grid-side whole-domain energy storage power stations in Jiashan with the Jiashan People’s Government, National Grid Jiashan Power Supply Corporation, and Beijing Jingneng Power.

It is reported that the BatteroTech Phase III project covers an area of 502 mu and plans the construction of lithium-ion battery production lines and module lines with an annual production capacity of 45GWh, totaling an investment of 11 billion RMB yuan. The construction of 16 battery cell production lines is scheduled to serve leading automobile manufacturers.
